How to play
- Press Start. A block slides back and forth above the tower.
- Tap anywhere, or press Space, to drop it.
- Any part hanging over the edge is cut off, so the next block is narrower.
- Land almost exactly on the block below for a perfect drop that keeps the full width. Miss completely and the game ends.
About this game
Block Tower is a one-button timing game. Each new block slides left and right across the top of the tower. You choose the moment to drop it. Whatever part of the block lands on the one below stays; whatever hangs past the edge falls away. The tower gets taller, and the blocks get narrower unless you are precise.
Precision pays. If you drop a block within a hair of the one below, it snaps into place and keeps its full width. Chains of perfect drops are the only way to build very high towers.
The sliding speed rises a little with every level of the tower, up to a fixed limit, so it never becomes impossible to follow. Your score is the number of blocks stacked, and your best height is saved in this browser.
Watch the edge of the moving block rather than its middle, and drop as it crosses the edge of the block below. Tapping in rhythm with the slide works better than chasing it.
