How to play
- Press Start and watch. The pads light up one after another, each with its own tone.
- When it says Your turn, tap the pads in the same order.
- Get it right and the pattern repeats with one more step at the end.
- One wrong pad ends the game, after showing the pad you should have pressed.
About this game
Echo Pads is a follow-the-pattern game. Four large pads sit in a square, each with its own colour, shape, and tone. The game plays a short pattern by lighting the pads in order. You repeat it by tapping them in the same order. Every round keeps the old pattern and adds one new step at the end.
The playback gets a little quicker as the pattern grows, but never faster than a steady pace you can follow. Each pad has a different symbol as well as a colour, and sound is optional, so you can play with or without colour and with or without audio.
If you tap the wrong pad, the game shows which pad was next for a moment and then ends. Your score is the length of the longest pattern you repeated correctly, and your best is saved in this browser.
Chunking helps: hear the pattern as small groups, like two, then three, then two. Some players say the pad names under their breath; others remember the shape the taps draw across the square.
What this does not measure
This is a casual game, not a memory test. It does not measure intelligence, diagnose memory problems, or test hearing.
Your best score is saved in this browser only.
