About this game
Odd One Out is a calm search game. Every tile shows the same shape drawn the same way, except one. That one might be a different form, like a triangle among hexagons. It might be filled in, outlined, or striped when the others are not. From level four, it might also be turned at a slight angle or drawn a little smaller.
The grid grows from three by three to six by six, and the differences get subtler as you go. The angle starts at a quarter turn and narrows level by level, but it never goes below fifteen degrees. The size gap shrinks too, but the odd shape is always at least twelve percent smaller. Every board has exactly one odd shape, and automated tests check that.
A wrong tap costs one of three lives. The odd shape is marked for one second, then a fresh grid at the same level appears. When the run ends, the odd shape is marked on the board so you can see what you missed. Your best level is saved in this browser.
Scanning in rows works better than jumping around. For angle levels, look at the tips of the shapes; for size levels, look at the gaps around them.
What this does not measure
This is a puzzle for fun. It is not an IQ test, a vision test, or an attention test, and it says nothing about your health. Screen size and brightness change how easy each level feels.
