How to play
- Press Start. A tap waits on the left edge and a drain on the right.
- Tap a tile to turn it a quarter turn clockwise.
- Water fills every pipe connected to the tap, so you can see how far it reaches.
- Connect the tap to the drain to clear the level. Boards grow larger as you go.
About this game
Pipe Link is a calm connecting puzzle. Each tile holds a piece of pipe: a straight run, a bend, a T, or a cross. You cannot move tiles, only turn them. The goal is a single unbroken run of pipe from the tap on the left to the drain on the right.
Water shows your progress. Every pipe that is joined to the tap, through openings that line up on both sides, fills with colour at once. When the water reaches the drain, the level is cleared.
Each board starts from a hidden route that the program draws from the tap to the drain, then fills the other squares with spare pieces and turns every tile at random. That way every board can be solved, and there is often more than one way through, because the spare pieces can form short cuts.
Work from both ends. A tile at the edge of the board can only face a few useful ways, and the tiles next to the tap and the drain are the easiest to fix first. The highest level you clear is saved in this browser.
What this does not measure
This is a puzzle game for fun. It is not an IQ test or a test of reasoning ability, and your result does not say anything about how your mind works.
