About this game
Color Sort is a calm puzzle about tidying up. A shelf of glass tubes holds coloured balls, all mixed up, and two tubes start empty. Your job is to sort them so that each tube ends up with four balls of one colour.
Tap a tube and its top balls float up. Tap another tube and they arc across and drop in. A pour moves every ball of the top colour that fits, so a run of three reds moves together if there is room for three. The only rule is that balls may land on an empty tube or on the same colour, never on a different one.
The empty tubes are your working space, and using them well is the whole game. Park a colour in one, free up another tube, and build complete stacks one at a time. Filling the spare tubes with mixed colours too early is the usual way to get stuck.
Every level is mixed at random and then solved by the computer before you see it, so it can always be finished. Levels start with three colours and add more as you go, up to nine. Undo takes back a pour, Restart resets the level, and Hint shows a pour that still leads to a solution. Your highest level is saved in this browser.
What this does not measure
This is a puzzle for fun. It does not measure intelligence, planning ability, or colour vision. Colours also carry numbers in the plain view and names for screen readers.
