How to play
- Press Start. A game is five frames, with two balls per frame.
- Swipe up on the lane to roll. Where you start the swipe sets where the ball starts, the angle sets its line, and a longer swipe rolls it faster.
- Curve your swipe to put hook on the ball: it bends toward that side as it travels down the lane.
- All ten with the first ball is a strike; all ten with two balls is a spare. Both earn bonus pins from the next balls.
About this game
Bowling Flick is a short game of ten-pin bowling on a 3D lane. You roll by swiping up from the bottom of the lane. The spot where your finger lands is where the ball sets off, the direction of the swipe is the line it takes, and the length of the swipe is how fast it rolls. The white arrow shows your line before you let go.
Straight balls work, but the best way to clear the deck is to hit the pocket: just beside the head pin, at a slight angle. Curve your swipe and the ball picks up hook, holding its line at first and bending more as it slows near the pins. A ball that leaves the lane drops into the gutter and knocks nothing down.
The pins are simulated one by one. A pin that is hit hard enough topples and sweeps across the deck, and it can take its neighbours with it, so a ball that only clips the rack can still leave a satisfying crash.
Scoring follows the usual rules over five frames. A strike adds the next two balls to that frame, and a spare adds the next one. Strike or spare in the last frame and you get one more ball, so the best possible game is 150.
