How to play

  1. Press Start. You throw five rounds of three darts.
  2. Drag on the board to aim. The white ring shows where your hand is pointing; it sways a little, as a real hand does.
  3. Let go to throw. The dart lands where the ring was, give or take a few millimetres.
  4. Scores follow a standard board: the number of the segment, triple in the inner ring, double in the outer ring, 25 and 50 for the bull.

About this game

Darts is a short game on a 3D board hanging on the wall. You aim by dragging on the board, and a white ring follows your finger or mouse. On a phone, the ring sits a little above your finger so you can see what you are aiming at.

The ring never sits perfectly still. It drifts in a slow, wandering pattern, like a hand trying to hold steady, and the drift grows a little each round. The trick is to watch the sway and let go when the ring passes over the spot you want. Each dart also has a small random wobble, so even a perfect release is not quite certain.

The board uses the usual layout, with 20 at the top. A dart scores the number of its segment, three times that in the narrow inner ring, and twice that in the narrow outer ring. The green outer bull is worth 25 and the red bullseye 50. Beyond the outer ring is a miss. The highest score from one dart is a treble 20, worth 60, so aiming for the bull is not always best.

A game is fifteen darts, and your total is the sum of every dart. You can also aim with the arrow buttons or the arrow keys and throw with the button or Space. Your best total is saved in this browser.
